Demonstrative Pronouns : How to Use of This That These Those in English language

 In this lesson, you will learn about demonstrative pronouns: this, that, these, those in English language. After lesson, you can easy and know how to use this, that, these, those in daily use. These words are used as demonstrative adjectives and sometimes simply as demonstrative pronouns.

Now, let's start!

We start learn about demonstrative pronoun "This". Please read: This is yellow orange.


That is yellow orange.


These are yellow oranges.


Those are yellow oranges.


Now, we change to second example. In a room, 2 persons talking about something:

A: This computer is new.


A: That computer is old.


B: That computer is new.


B: This computer is old.


Man: This cat is small.


Man: That dog is big.


Woman: This dog is big.


Woman: That dog is small.


Man: These cats are small.


Man: Those dogs are big.


Woman: Those cats are small.


A: This person is a businessman.


Man: That person is a student.
